"Well howww-DEE folks, make sure yer Sendin' Stones are tuned just under the Eee-thereal Plane and set near a heat source cuz this her's another install-ay-tion of Frontwoods! And boy-o-Corellon we got a doozy of a double day for ya.
Finally got to git off the boat, see what was what and what had happened so far. Truth be told, listeners, not much to see at first, lotta hustle but not nearly as much bustle as I was expectin'. Also there was a guy yellin' about looking for martial aid. I asked if he needed help with the reception or something, but he just gave me a look I couldn't really describe in words, something like

, and then he said he was talking about fightin'. I asked what kinda weddin he was tryna have, but then he said he meant paid adventurin, and I said I don't know how high you can count but you can count me in it!
So off we float on a lot teenier boat; talkin' a raft they burnt at the sides so they'd curl up a bit kinda small. Real friendly fella called Milo asks if I like to party, to which I can only respond in the B-ffirmative (a fairy made off with the A, check out episode thirty-four for that story!). He likes using non-magic means to get to other planes, mostly mushrooms, and there was plenty to be had on the island we were goin to, but there was some frogs we had to be high careful on, called 'em bulleewugs. If ya kin believe it some of these folk had been here previous and knocked a half dozen down in the dirt with no delay! But now we wanted somethin' from 'em so we were gonna stay real respectful. Guy called Torben got us up next to the mountain, spot with some real nice houses with legs, and we ended up chattin with the bulleewugs. I know a full belly gets lenience from the judge and benefit of the doubt from strangers so I popped out some Goodberries to maybe smooth over the before murderin', when I wasn't here yet. I think it worked! Nobody got kilt. The wizard Earlicker said he knew their tongue (which is crazy cuz their tongues were fuggin'
huge), said they said more of these fellers were west of the city, and if we brung steel they might have things for trade! Small world.
We also got told to never, ever, under any kind of way, get back on this island. And that was okay with me, plenty of other sights to see, like the island further to the south, which we went to without delay. On the way out Torben musta fallen down and got tickers in his knickers because he was real sore we ended up leaving Tasty Chicken Island without one a-them walking birds from the big beach. Just kinda...stared at 'em.
Anyway!
We make it to the new island, and it looks like a mighty bit of a climb to get anywhere. Then crafty Torben finds some slits in the slate rock, man I gotta look after him more close, he is always gettin out of sight and finding cool stuff to look at! We all kinda head in after he doesn't come back mangled or nothin', find the rock is like a big honkin ring around a jungle. We all just kinda look around for a bit when we get in there before somebody points out a strucksure on the far side of the whole ring. We tell the Boat Boys to go on and git back to a dock on the bigland, no sense in a quick getaway when we're makin' our way through foliage thick as this to get to that thing we saw. Whaddaya know, it's just a house! Reminds me of one from the Backwoods, got a wrap porch and an older lady with nice silver hair rockin' in the front. Her name is Jenny, sometimes Smilin' Jenny from kin, and she gets us a nice batch of tea that makes a couple fellers get refamiliarized with their breakfast. Jenny even talks Common like I do! I ask if maybe there's some bit of family from long ago. Maybe she knows my sister-cousin, If'nI'd've, or my granddaddy, Fixin' Tuh? No such luck.
What she does have is talk about some green smallfolk we ain't seen yet givin her a real spot of trouble. She wants the head of their leader, one who ain't got no eyes, which is honestly pretty baller for a leader if you ask me, listeners. We said we'd give it a shot right after the rest of the boys stopped horkin up whatever they had in their stomach. Jenny also wanted female companionship, preferably with some babies? I still ain't got a lock on if that's hinky or not, but hell we still took a note. She also says to watch out for raptors who must have our smell, they come from the Heart of the Island, but, and I quote, "we ain't ready for that". She's at least part right, one of 'em came for us in the dead of night, sleepin' on her porch. Next day we say our tell-your-mom-I-said-Hi's (I left her some more Goodberries, she likes to cook and they make a damn fine cobbler) and get back to the boat.
One thing Jenny did let us know about was some more axebeaks to the east of the city, and we all kinda lit up at that. Big birds are cool, am I right?! Havin' one to gawk at any time of the day must surely be even better.
Speakin' of big birds, there was one we saw on the way away from Jenny, island to the east of hers. We saw one of these axebeaks get et by another bird, big as the boat that brought me here! And by et, I mean swallowed, didn't bother to chew. I don't think we could have dragged that one back to the city even if we wanted to.
So we head over and London the druid and Torben hatch a plan to steal some eggs and some axebeaks! Brains on these boys, for sure. I also made sure to stay back and not got get between the feathers and the magic boys, not after all this travel. Daddy had a sayin: "Don't matter how far down the road you are, ditch is the same distance away." And I had a mind to mind him. Luckily we were able to magic some of the birds and their eggs into the boat, even making it back. We did get 'em off the boat, but that's a story I'll start another time.
Now this a-been one more ep of Frontwoods, and I'm Y'all. Thanks for giving me yer ear, you can have it back now."
