Linden’s Notes - Lighthouse

Other adventurers secured the dock, we are the second ship to arrive. Zombie and skeletal remains are scattered around. A beacon that is green in color helps us navigate to the docks. Only stone structures are left of this abandoned port. My party used a dingy with some provided rowers to get across the harbor. Before moving forward, we set up a code to communicate. Green light is safe, purple is danger. Tobin builds a rope ladder to scale the sea wall and at the top we encounter a zombie. It was easily dispatched and we burned the body out of concern of some kind of contagion being present.

I scout around back of the stone building where the zombie emerged from and discovered 4 skeletons in the back room. I fail a Faerie Fire attempt on the skeletons which initiated combat. Tobin is downed though I swiftly and courageously heal his wounds so he can jump back in the fight. Once the skeletons are dealt with, I search the second floor with Corim to make sure there are no other threats. Corim Find a chest with 5 Jasper stones, 5 bars of silver and magic silver mace. I cast detect magic and find that the mace has alteration magic on it. Corim keeps these.

Treasure Value
• 1 silver bar = 25 gold
• 1 Jasper stone = 50 gold

Short Rest

After a quick break, we head up the path to the lighthouse and find a spot with about a dozen skeletons laying on the ground. Skill check to sneak past them though it is close. Lighthouse seems to be dedicated to a deity of the sea, but much is defaced. Jeros locates what may be a secret door and it may need a cleric to challenge divinity to open. This door appears to be the entrance to the lighthouse. I located some information about the deity on a plaque by the statues. We also take the time to map out the immediate surroundings from this advantage point.

Defaced Statue Plaque:
"Nesirie, Goddess of the Sea, Lady of Mourning"

Magic Door Inscription:
"Let our house be a beacon to guide lost souls home"

Follow-ups
• Investigate a means to open the door and light the lighthouse
• Investigating info on the deity
• Identify the Magic Mace Jeros has
• Investigate more areas of the continent revealed (march, beach, mountains, islands, path of the river)
